Truck & Equipment Finance was established in 2005 and the team is led by Dino Pavlovich, who has over 25 years’ experience in asset and business finance, having worked with several major finance companies and banks throughout his career.

While Dino is best known in the transport sector, his financing expertise spans a wide range of business and asset types. Over the years, the team has guided customers through multiple economic cycles and has the skills and connections to best support your asset finance and business financing needs.

As a business independent of any finance company or bank, TEF prides itself on working with customers to secure the right funding while helping you stay in control of your finances and manage funder risk.

Dino Pavlovich – Director

Thomas Borrell has been involved in a variety of finance roles throughout his 20-year career, including sales, credit and operational positions with companies such as GE Money, Heartland Bank and Mercedes-Benz Financial.

Having completed three years as National Sales Manager for Commercial Vehicles at Mercedes-Benz Financial, Thomas brings a wealth of established commercial customer relationships to Truck and Equipment Finance.

He is known for high-quality service, efficient turnaround times and bridging the gap between lenders and clients — ensuring financial products are the right fit for both the customer and the lender, with a focus on clear communication throughout.

Thomas’s client base is predominantly in road transport, including heavy trucks, buses and light commercial vehicles across sectors including forestry, metro and linehaul owner-drivers, earthworks, building, construction and tourism.

Chris Barclay has spent over 20 years working across multiple industries, including truck and light commercial sales, business development in engineering & mining, plus plenty of time in the driver’s seat across New Zealand and Australia. He knows the gear that keeps businesses moving and understands the day-to-day challenges business owners face.

Now based in Northland and working with clients nationwide, Chris has transferred his skills from the sales arena into finance — combining industry know-how with a straight-talking approach to help small and medium business owners secure smart, tailored funding. A no-fuss, results-driven approach from someone who genuinely gets it.
